Israel Broussard is an American actor born Isaiah Israel Broussard on August 22, 1994, in Gulfport, Mississippi, to Angela (Clapp) and Lawrence Clayton Adams. Tragically, his biological father passed away when he was just four years old. Israel was subsequently raised in Saucier, Mississippi, by his mother and stepfather, Gil Broussard, who adopted him and his older sister, Aubrey, providing a loving and supportive environment.
Israel's interest in acting began to unfold when he played the role of Percy in Biloxi Little Theater's production of "The Miracle Worker" in 2006. His remarkable performance caught the attention of Hollywood scouts, who discovered him at an event in January 2008. This led to him signing with Abrams Artists Agency, paving the way for his professional acting career.
Two years later, Israel made the bold decision to move to Los Angeles to pursue acting as a career. He soon landed supporting roles in Flipped (2010) and The Chaperone (2011),demonstrating his versatility as an actor. His breakthrough role came when he was cast in the lead role in Sofia Coppola's crime film The Bling Ring (2013).
Israel continued to impress audiences with his performances in Perfect High (2015),H8RZ (2015),Jack of the Red Hearts (2015),and Good Kids (2016). His versatility as an actor was further showcased in his roles in these films.
In 2017, Israel starred alongside Jessica Rothe in the horror comedy Happy Death Day (2017),a role he reprised in Happy Death Day 2U (2019).
