Iulia, a talented actress from Bucharest, Romania, began her acting journey in high school, performing in theatre and TV productions. At the age of 18, she made her cinematic debut in the film "Elevator" (Romania, 2008),playing the main role. The movie received the Audience Award on three continents, and Iulia was nominated for Best Actress at BestFilmFest 2009. This early success, despite no formal acting education, solidified her commitment to a career in acting.
Iulia then enrolled in the National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, where she completed both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in acting. During her studies, she was awarded a scholarship for young talents by the Princess Margareta Foundation and selected to participate in the "acting corps" workshop in Hollywood.
Throughout her studies and afterwards, Iulia has continued to enrich her experience as an actress, taking part in a wide range of projects. In consecutive years, she received the Best Actress award at the international student film festival cinemaiubit for the short films "eu si sora mea" (Romania, 2009) and "intre prieteni" (Romania, 2010),the latter also being presented in Cannes.
Iulia has also gained international recognition for her roles in several acclaimed productions, including "Between already and not yet," which was selected for Cannes. She is also known for her TV roles in HBO's "In treatment," PRO TV's "Poor man, rich man," and "A Bet with Life," as well as her numerous theatre performances.
Iulia's intense activity in Romanian cinema, theatre, and TV has also garnered international attention, leading to her involvement in international productions such as "The Zero Theorem" directed by Terry Gilliam. She currently has a part in the Danish film "KTO" directed by Manyar Parwani and "A Good Man" (directed by Keoni Waxman and produced by Steven Seagal),in which she plays the female leading role.
