Ivan Aleksandrovich Vyrypaev, born on August 3, 1974, in Irkutsk, is a multifaceted Russian creative artist, renowned for his work in playwriting, screenwriting, film and theater direction, and acting.
His father, Alexander Nikolayevich Vyrypaev, a teacher at Irkutsk Pedagogical College No. 1, was awarded the memorial medal "Patriot of Russia". His mother, Vera Timofeevna Vyrypaeva, had a higher trade education, but tragically passed away.
Ivan graduated from the Irkutsk theater school in 1995 and went on to work as an actor at the Magadan Theater for a season, followed by two seasons at the drama and Comedy Theater in Kamchatka. In 1998, he founded the "Space of Play" theater studio in Irkutsk, and the same year, he became a student of the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute, studying in absentia at the department "Director of Drama Theater".
From 1999 to 2001, Vyrypaev taught acting skills at the Irkutsk Theater School, under the guidance of Vyacheslav Kokorin. In 2005, he created the agency for creative projects in the field of cinema, theater, and literature, "Kislorod Movement". In 2006, he worked as the art director of the "Praktika Theater", and in April 2013, he took up the position of artistic director of the same theater.
Vyrypaev's productions, as well as performances based on his plays, have been performed in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, England, France, and Canada. His plays, such as "Dreams", "Valentine's Day", and "Oxygen", have been translated into numerous foreign languages, including English, French, German, Bulgarian, and Polish.
Throughout his career, Vyrypaev has taught at various institutions, including GITIS, the Moscow Art Theater Studio School, and the Warsaw Academy of Theater Arts. He currently works in Moscow and resides in both Poland and Russia.
