Ivana's Life and Career: A Journey of Exceptional Talent and Versatility
Ivana's earliest years were spent in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain, where she was born and later attended The American School of Barcelona for her high school education.
Her breakthrough role came in 2006 when renowned filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro handpicked her to play the lead in his critically acclaimed fantasy thriller "Pan's Labyrinth." Initially, the role was intended for an eight-year-old girl, but Ivana's outstanding audition convinced Del Toro to alter the script to accommodate her, despite being eleven years old at the time.
Ivana's performance in "Pan's Labyrinth" earned her widespread recognition and numerous accolades. She won the prestigious 2007 Goya Award for Best New Actress, as well as the Award for Best Newcomer by the Union of Spanish Actors, the Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Young Actor, and the Imagen Award for Best Actress.

These supporting roles showcased her talent at a young age, with her first film credits at just 9 and 10 years old.
Ivana expanded her acting horizons by taking on her first American role in the feature film "The New Daughter," where she starred alongside Kevin Costner. In 2015, she shot in New Zealand for MTV's television series "The Shannara Chronicles," a story based on Terry Brooks' bestselling novel "The Elfstones of Shannara."
