Jessica Madison Wright was born on July 29th, 1984, in Cincinnati, Ohio, as the eldest of four children. From a young age, she showcased her flair for the dramatic, dressing up and embracing her inner "girlie" child. Her passion for modeling and acting was shared with her younger sister Victoria, which led the Wright family to relocate to Los Angeles in 1994.
Madison's acting debut came at the tender age of nine in the comedy series "Grace Under Fire" (1993),where she played a small role as a sassy child model. This was followed by her big break just a few months later when she won the role of ten-year-old True Danziger in the science-fiction show "Earth 2" (1994). Although the show was short-lived, Madison cherished the opportunity to play such an intriguing character and even got to try her hand at being a tomboy.
After "Earth 2", Madison continued to hone her craft, taking on roles in an Emmy-nominated episode of "ER" (1994) and the family film "Shiloh" (1996). She also appeared in the science-fiction film "The Osiris Chronicles" (1998),which served as the pilot for a potential series that unfortunately never took off.
As Madison entered her mid-teens, she began to lose interest in acting and her family decided to relocate to Kentucky in 1999. However, it was then that she was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a severe condition that affects the heart muscles, and was subsequently placed on the donor waiting list. Madison and her family spent extended periods in Cleveland, where she received treatment, with the help of a Ronald McDonald house.
After several months on the waiting list, Madison received a heart transplant at the Cleveland Clinic in March 2000, at the age of 15. Clancy Brown, the actor who played her on-screen father in "Earth 2", led an appeal to raise funds for her medical expenses and purchased her a laptop for Christmas in 1999.
Despite her health struggles, Madison went on to marry medical student Brent Morris in 2006. Sadly, she passed away just a few days later, on July 21st, 2006, due to complications from a heart attack.
