Biography

Jacob Leinbach is an American actor who embarked on his acting journey at the tender age of six, playing the role of "Theo" in a local theater production of the iconic musical "Pippin". His early start in the entertainment industry was followed by a series of short films for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, including the award-winning World War II short film "Kilroy was Here".

As his career progressed, Jacob landed notable roles such as the Vice President's son in the sci-fi thriller "Eyeborgs" and "Brad" in the award-winning coming-of-age drama "The Wise Kids". He also had the opportunity to play "Mick" in the film adaptation of the novel "Ender's Game" and "Tad" in the acclaimed television show "Homeland".

In the summer of 2013, Jacob was cast as John Brinkman in the thought-provoking film "Locker 212", which explores the significance of forming genuine connections with troubled youth in order to alleviate bullying and gun violence in schools. That same summer, he had the privilege of working alongside his idol, Loretta Devine, in the film "Teachers" aka "Saving Westbrook High".

Jacob's academic interests lie in science and history, making his role as "Newt" in the Revolutionary War series "Turn" a thrilling experience. When he's not acting, Jacob enjoys drumming, cooking Italian cuisine, and listening to the works of Bach, Beethoven, and the Beatles.

Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Jacob is the son of Michael and Leigh Ann Leinbach. He has an older brother and sister-in-law, Garrett and Ariel Hatfield, and resides in North Carolina with his parents and beloved pets, Labrador Retriever Casey and rabbit Midnight.
