As he continued to hone his craft, Jacob's breakthrough came in early 2012 when he was cast as Max Spencer, a principal role in the TV Christmas movie "Merry In-Laws". This milestone marked a significant turning point in his career, as he was subsequently accepted as a full member of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA).
