Biography

Jake Katofsky is an emerging producer who dedicates himself to promoting a wide range of filmmakers with captivating character-driven stories. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work in nearly every role on a production, contributing to numerous projects spanning from commercials to full-length features. Notably, in 2014, Jake served as an assistant on the LA Film Festival Best Picture Winner CUT!, and the following year co-wrote and produced a romantic comedy entitled 108 Stitches, which received a limited theatrical release in 2014 and international distribution On Demand.

As a recent graduate of the USC Peter Stark Producing Program's MFA program, Jake has gained valuable experience as an associate producer on the feature film Live Cargo, starring Lakeith Stanfield, Dre Hemingway, and Robert Wisdom, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016. Furthermore, his short film, ASIA A, has started to gain significant recognition on the festival circuit, having premiered at the Academy Qualifying LA International Shorts Festival in late July, as well as Hollyshorts, Martha's Vineyard International Film Festival, SCAD Film Festival, and was named a semi-finalist in the Student Academy Awards.

Currently, Jake has three other shorts that are poised to achieve similar success in the festival circuit, and a growing slate of projects in development.
