Jake Morrison is a visual effects specialist with an impressive track record of over 15 years in the industry. His professional journey began with a unique blend of creative pursuits, as he initially worked as a composer before transitioning to the role of VFX Supervisor on some of the most iconic Marvel films, including The Avengers, Ant-Man, and Thor: Ragnarok.
Morrison's early days in the industry were marked by a dual existence, as he worked during the day at a 35mm slide bureau and spent his nights utilizing modified Atari computers to create mesmerizing visual displays in sync with music. The slide bureau's shift towards digital technology soon granted him access to cutting-edge software tools such as 3D Studio, Alias PowerAnimator, and Quantel Paintboxes.
As his skills and expertise continued to evolve, Morrison's career path was characterized by a seamless progression from events to commercials to feature films. Through dedication and perseverance, he worked his way up from the ground floor to become a lead compositing/CCG supervisor, eventually ascending to the position of VFX Supervisor.
