James Clarke is a British filmmaker, writer, director, producer, and editor, renowned for his work on the 2024 film Sunray: Fallen Soldier. Born in Cheshire, he was raised in Knutsford and initially pursued a career in video game artistry, attending Teesside University in 2010 and graduating in 2013.
However, after completing his studies, James made a significant career shift and joined the Royal Marines Commandos, where he served for five years. During his time with the Royal Marines, he underwent extensive training across the globe and participated in humanitarian missions, including Operation Ruman in 2017.
Following his military career, James transitioned to a creative role as a full-time photographer and filmmaker for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. His experience and expertise in this field have allowed him to excel as a versatile storyteller, with a keen ability to craft compelling visual stories.
