James Grixoni, a Seattle-born and raised individual, embarked on a remarkable journey in the world of performing arts at the tender age of fourteen. He attended his local conservatory for four years, honing his skills and laying the foundation for a successful career in theatre.
As he turned eighteen, James made his professional debut in a production of Peter-Pan at Book-it Theatre, marking the beginning of his journey in the entertainment industry. For a couple of years, he continued to excel in professional theatre, perfecting his craft and gaining valuable experience.
However, James' true passion lay in film, and he decided to shift his focus towards this medium. He created a comedy troupe, performing skits and starring in local indie films, which ultimately led to a unique opportunity. James was granted the chance to shadow Tobey Maguire as his body double in the film "The Details", directed by Jacob Aaron Estes. This experience proved to be invaluable, allowing James to learn from one of the industry's most renowned actors.
A few years later, James found himself performing in a punk band in Philadelphia, a venture that not only allowed him to explore his creative side but also provided a platform to hone his skills in front of the camera. He then went on to star in the film "The Bhakti Boy", directed by Joy Marzec, which further solidified his growth as an artist.
Upon returning to the west coast, James had the privilege of working on a wide range of projects, including films, television series, music videos, and shorts. Some of his notable works include "Worst Laid Plans", directed by Mark Jones and Nesib CB Shamah, "You Cant Win", directed by Robinson Devor, and "Twin Peaks", directed by David Lynch.
Today, James continues to grow as an artist and a member of his community. He practices yoga and meditation, which he credits with improving his reality and overall well-being. He also believes in the importance of comedy and makes it a daily practice, recognizing laughter as the foundation to health.
