In his personal life, James has been married to Annette Prince since September 8, 1990, and the couple shares three children together. One of James' most notable achievements is the production of his play "INFERNO: Fire at The Cocoanut Grove". The play went on to have a successful three-week run Off-Broadway at Theatre 80 St. Marks in November 2018.
