James Preston, a talented actor, has recently joined the cast of The Bay as a series regular, playing the role of Nick Myers. This marks his return to television, having previously appeared in several popular episodic series, including Blue Bloods on CBS and CSI: NY. Preston's extensive television credits also include his recurring role as Lukas Ford on ABC's prime time drama The Gates, opposite Frank Grillo, and his role as the antagonist in the Hallmark feature film Aloha With Love.
Preston is perhaps best known for his critically acclaimed and award-winning portrayal of James Dean in the indie feature motion picture Joshua Tree, 1951: A Portrait of James Dean, which is currently available on streaming. He has collaborated with indie horror film director Samuel Gonzalez, Jr. on several films, including Woodland Heights, where he received a best actor nomination, The Passage, and most recently, the feature motion picture The Plastic Men. Preston is also set to appear in the upcoming 80's themed feature horror Brute 1986, directed by Marcel Walz.
Prior to his acting career, Preston had a successful modeling career, working with high-fashion brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Polo, and Saks Fifth Ave. In his earlier years, he was an established motocross racer for team Kawasaki, showcasing his skills and athleticism.
