Jamie Alcroft has been entertaining audiences as one-half of the comedy duo Mack & Jamie for over 25 years, a remarkable tenure that has spanned a quarter of a century. It was during this period that they began working together, less than two years prior to receiving a call from The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Their fast-paced bits left the audience in stitches, and they were promptly invited back for another appearance.
This initial success led to numerous TV appearances, which ultimately culminated in their own syndicated show, Comedy Break with Mack & Jamie, in the 1980s. During this time, they managed to tape an impressive 125 half-hour shows in under a year.
Fast-forward to their recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where Jamie and Mack were once again met with critical acclaim. Jay Leno himself praised their comedic skills, stating, "When comedians talk about comedy teams, Mack and Jamie are at the top of the list. They are the funniest duo, working today!" The duo continues to perform at numerous corporate events each year, and are favored performers on Royal Caribbean, Crystal, and Holland America cruise lines.
In addition to his work with Mack & Jamie, Jamie has also hosted a cooking show pilot called Eat This!, which features guest comedians and is produced by P.A.T. (Sajak) Productions. His guest on the pilot was none other than Kevin Nealon, a renowned comedian and actor from Saturday Night Live and Weeds.
Jamie has also ventured into the world of comedy CD production, co-writing and producing a comedy CD with Mack, titled Extreme Channel Surfing, which can be heard in heavy rotation on Sirius and XM satellite radio.
He has shared a CLIO Award with his comedy partner Mack Dryden for writing and performing, a testament to their enduring comedic chemistry.
In addition to his work in comedy, Jamie is also a skilled voice actor, having provided voices for numerous national commercials, as well as popular animated shows and video games. He is a member of the elite corps of LA Voice Actors, a distinction that is reserved for only the most talented and experienced voice actors.
Jamie resides in Westlake Village with his wife, Sarah Kawahara, a renowned ice choreographer, and their three children, Hayley, 16, a songwriter and member of the Sony/BMG recording artists, The Stunners, Thatcher, 14, and Alysse, 21, who is pursuing a career in musical theater in New York City.
