Born in the United Kingdom, Jamie Marshall grew up amidst the vibrant backdrop of his father Alan Marshall's film production sets, where he developed a profound understanding of the ever-evolving world of filmmaking. As he matured, Marshall swiftly ascended the ranks, becoming a skilled First Assistant Director and collaborating with renowned directors such as Martin Campbell, Antoine Fuqua, John Woo, Adrian Lyne, Terry Gilliam, Catherine Hardwicke, Tarsem, Scott Cooper, Gavin O'Connor, Jonathan Nolan, Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, and Jimmy Chin on various projects.
Taking advantage of his extensive experience as a First Assistant Director, Marshall expanded his repertoire by becoming involved as a Producer on several notable films, including the successful franchises Twilight, Warrior, Immortals, Snow White, and Out of the Furnace, as well as Miss Bala, The In Between, Rosaline, The Foreigner, Den of Thieves, NYAD, and Lionsgate's upcoming 2024 release "Dirty Angels."
In 2011, Marshall made the transition to directing, initially serving as the Second Unit Director on Antoine Fuqua's action-packed film Olympus Has Fallen. He subsequently directed action units on a wide range of feature films for esteemed directors such as Martin Campbell, Catherine Hardwicke, Gavin O'Connor, Kenya Barris, and Christian Gudeghast.
In 2023 and 2024, Marshall directed the feature film Copperhead, an action-packed thriller for Voltage Pictures, starring an ensemble cast including Lucien Laviscount, Hannah John Kamen, Lewis Tan, and Holt McCallany.
