Born in Seattle, Washington, Nieto was raised as an only child in a single-parent home in Sacramento, California. His early life laid the foundation for his future success, as he went on to excel in multiple fields.
As a 2-time Olympian and former professional Track and Field Athlete, Nieto's impressive athletic career included being a 2-time Olympic finalist, ranking in the top 10 in the world on multiple occasions, and earning a full scholarship to Eastern Michigan University.
Throughout his athletic career, Nieto accumulated numerous accolades, including being a 4-time National Champ, 3-time World Champ Team Member, 3-time Pan Am Team Member, 3-time All American, indoor and outdoor school record holder, and an inductee into Eastern Michigan's Hall Of Fame in 2012.
After retiring from professional athletics in 2013, Nieto pursued his childhood love for movies, acting, producing, and writing. He started coaching at UCLA and then University of Southern California, before deciding to focus on his craft.
Nieto's passion for acting led him to start working on his craft in 2007, taking on roles in shorts films, student films, commercials, features, and attending acting classes. His first feature film was in 2009, and since then, he has starred and been featured in five other films to date.
Some of his notable film credits include "The Encounter" on Netflix, Kontrast, Jerusalem Countdown, Red Line, and Baseball's Last Hero; The Roberto Clemente Story, where he plays the lead role of Roberto Clemente. Additionally, he has guest-starred on Family Time and produced an award-winning pilot called Blood Brothers.
Nieto's web-series, "Holla Atcha Boy," features over 100 shows, with him interviewing Olympic athletes. When he's not acting or producing, he stays busy with coaching, track camps, writing, and acting.
