Jamie's early life was marked by a passion for performing, with her first Equity card earned at the tender age of 9 in a regional production of "The Rink". As she grew, she continued to hone her craft, dancing and singing in a vocal harmony group, and modeling for esteemed publications such as Vogue Bambini. Her impressive resume also includes working alongside Oscar nominee Tom Hulce in the Off-Broadway hit "Haddock's Eyes", and making her film debut in the CBS movie of the week "A Hobo's Christmas".
At the age of 12, Jamie caught her first glimpse of Hollywood, flying coast to coast to screen test for TV shows such as "Blossom" and "Major Dad", while also booking a lead role in the HBO after-school special "The Babysitter's Club". As she entered her teenage years, Jamie's love of the theater led her to the prestigious New York University Tisch School of the Arts, where she majored in Acting with a minor in Art History.
During her time at NYU, Jamie underwent extensive training, studying the works of Shakespeare to Strasberg, and also had the opportunity to explore other interests, including African Art and Photography. Upon receiving her BFA, Jamie continued to study at the renowned Strasberg Institute, while working steadily in numerous off-Broadway productions and episodic television shows, including "Law and Order: SVU" and "The Sopranos".
Her impressive vocal talents were recognized when she was selected by Hal Prince to perform in the first national tour of his Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, "Parade". After growing tired of the cold New York winters, Jamie made the bold decision to trade in her boots for a pair of flip flops and head west. She fell in love with the warm weather, healthy lifestyle, and Sunday rides through the canyons in Malibu on her Ducati.
Jamie soon made Los Angeles her new home, where she continues to work on television and film projects. In April 2011, she became a proud mother to her daughter Veda Blue, and for the next two years, she devoted most of her time to motherhood. However, her passion for storytelling soon called her back, and she began working as a producer, writer, and actress on several projects of her own.
