Here is Jan Pablo's biography:
Jan Pablo began learning Kung fu at the age of 5, along with his 5 cousins and sister, from their Church pianist Rey, who learned from their Parish Priest Fr. Danny Ibanez, a missionary Priest from China. This early introduction to martial arts laid the foundation for Jan's future exploration and development of his own style, which he calls P.A.D.P.A.O. - Preventive Aided Defense for Primary Added Obstacles.
As Jan continued to practice and learn, he met Master Norman Fernandez, a Jeet Kune do Master who also learned from Fr. Danny Ibanez and was trained in Chinatown, Manila. Jan's training eventually took him to Mei Cheng, where he learned the basics of Tao lu and Tai chi Yang style from Cifu Luo Mei Cheng, a Filipino Wushu Champion.
After two years of training at Mei Cheng, Jan went on to join the Wushu Federation of the Philippines, where he met world champions like Rene Catalan and learned extensively about Sanshou, another branch of Wushu. During this time, Jan also pursued his passion for performing arts by studying Theater Arts at the University of the Philippines, where he met people from the entertainment industry.
Jan's first action film involvement was in "One Percent Full," a local/international film directed and produced by Ronnie Ricketts and Burton Richardson. He then landed bandit roles for the Hollywood B-Movie "Road Raiders," produced by Roger Corman and directed by Cirio Santiago, Jose Marie Avellana, and Jim Wynorski.
Jan's experience in showbiz also led him to meet actor and Sensei Richard Manabat, who introduced him to Aikido. Jan continued to train in Wushu-Sanshou and Aikido, and joined the ALAS stunt team, the official stunt team of Fernando Poe Jr. He is also a member of the NMPP, the United Movie Workers of the Filipino Film Industry.
Jan formed his own stunt group, the JPST, and continues to work as a stunt man and fight director for films, television, and theater shows. His inspirations in martial arts include Jackie Chan, Jet Li, O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba, and Aikido Master Christian Tissier.
Jan's stunt team, the JPST, provides stunt choreography services for action scenes in films, television, and theater performances, incorporating martial arts principles from Shaolin Kung Fu, Aikido, and acrobatics.
