Janab Kareem is a remarkable individual, boasting a rich and diverse cultural heritage as a Muslim American actress. Born in Ventura, California, she spent her formative years in Daytona Beach, Florida, where she was raised by her Irish mother and African American and Native American father alongside her three brothers.
Janab's journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of 17, when she started modeling. As she turned 18, she made the bold decision to relocate to New York City to further her modeling career and pursue higher education. During her time in NY, she developed a passion for the arts and began to explore her creative side.
However, Janab's path was not without its twists and turns. While visiting her hometown, she was inspired to join the United States Coast Guard as a First Responder. She served two terms of active duty, during which she discovered a unique opportunity to receive a waiver that would allow her to balance her military responsibilities with her burgeoning entertainment career.
Janab's talents soon caught the attention of the modeling world, and she went on to compete in the prestigious MAAI national competition in New York. Her impressive performance earned her first-place finishes in three out of five categories, as well as top-three placements in the remaining two.
As her modeling career continued to flourish, Janab received attention from multiple agencies across the nation, leading to opportunities to model nationally and internationally in print and runway shows. Prior to honorably discharging from her military service, she made the transition to acting, and has since been featured in a range of films, television shows, and commercials.
