Janet du Plessis, a pioneering figure in the entertainment industry, founded APM (Artistes Personal Management) in Cape Town, South Africa in 1997. Today, her agency represents a diverse range of talented actors and actresses from across the continent, including Sean Cameron Michael, Susan Danford, and many others. APM's impressive roster has contributed to numerous award-winning television and film productions shot on South African shores, working with esteemed clients such as Universal Pictures, Warner Bros, Fox, BBC, and Sony.
Janet's passion for the performing arts dates back to her childhood, where her mother, a trained LAMDA alumna, would host drama classes at their home. As an actress, Janet has had the privilege of working alongside legendary actors like Anthony Quinn, Simon Sabela, Rex Garner, Taubie Kushlick, Sean Taylor, and Marius Weyers. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama & English from Rhodes University and a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Communication from the University of South Africa.
