Person Biography:
Janice Koh is a renowned stage and screen actress, trained in Theatre Studies and Drama at Victoria Junior College and the National University of Singapore. She holds an Honours degree in Theatre Studies and a Masters with Distinction in Theatre Administration from the University of London's Goldsmith's College, under a Public Service Commission Scholarship.
Janice's television credits include critically acclaimed roles in Channel 5's The Pupil, Zero Calling, Fighting Spiders, C.L.I.F., OKTO's The Diary of Amos Lee, and Channel News Asia's The Art of Conversation. She has also made guest appearances on various TV shows.
In film, Janice has appeared in Ken Kwek's Unlucky Plaza, Hitman: Agent 47, Kelvin Tong's The Offering, and most recently, Crazy Rich Asians by Warner Bros, set to be released in August 2018.
On stage, Janice has performed in over 50 productions, both in Singapore and abroad. She has won the Life! Theatre Award for Best Actress for her performance in David Auburn's Proof and received nominations for her roles in Loo Zihan's With/Out, Alfian Sa'at's Optic Trilogy, Pangdemonium's production of Rabbit Hole, and Ovidia Yu's Hitting (On) Women.
Janice has also been involved in various arts-related initiatives, including arts policy and administration, and has served as a Nominated Member of Parliament from 2011 to 2014, advocating for the arts and creative sectors in Singapore.
Currently, Janice serves on various boards in the non-profit arts and education sector, including Wild Rice Ltd and the Victoria Advisory Committee.
