Janus Blythe, a captivating brunette beauty, made a lasting impression in the horror and exploitation film genres of the 1970s with her striking presence and charisma. She began her acting career in the mid-1970s with small roles in the provocative films The Centerfold Girls (1974) and Phantom of the Paradise (1974).
Blythe's most iconic and enduring role is undoubtedly Ruby, the rebellious teenage daughter of a cannibal clan, in Wes Craven's cult classic The Hills Have Eyes (1977). Initially offered the part of Lynn, Blythe insisted on auditioning for Ruby, which ultimately earned her the role. Her performance as Ruby has become synonymous with the film and cemented her status as a horror icon.
