Jason B. Kohl, a multifaceted filmmaker of Austrian and American descent, hails from the city of Lansing, located in the state of Michigan.
His cinematic creations have garnered significant attention and acclaim, with screenings at some of the most prestigious film festivals worldwide, including the Berlin International Film Festival, the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival, the Los Angeles Film Festival, the Locarno International Film Festival, and the British Film Institute's (BFI) London Film Festival.
Notably, his debut feature film, titled "New Money", boasts an impressive cast, featuring the talented Louisa Krause, known for her role in the Starz series "The Girlfriend Experience", alongside Emmy and Gotham Award-nominated actress Robin Weigert.
Throughout his career, Jason has been recognized for his artistic accomplishments, having been a Fulbright and DAAD Artist Scholar, and having earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Directing from the renowned University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Film School.
