Person Biography:
Jason Bradley Livesay is a renowned American composer, violinist, and conductor from Los Angeles. He began his musical journey at the tender age of 8, studying violin with Mildred Lloyd, Chen Yang, Dick Walker, and Todor Pelev. As a teenager, he won several national awards, which led to him securing an assistantship as a composer on the popular reality TV show, The Amazing Race, under the guidance of Lee Sanders.
This experience paved the way for him to create music and film scores for various prominent studios, including DreamWorks, Paramount, Columbia, MGM, Disney/Pixar, Warner Brothers, FoxFaith Films, Nickelodeon, CBS, and MTV. His work earned him a Gold Classic Telly Award for "Best Music".
Jason and his twin brother, Nolan Livesay, have accumulated over 40 film and TV credits, featuring notable projects such as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Bounty, Chasing the Green, Dear Francis, One Night with the King, and Burn-E. He has also worked as a conductor with the Golden State Pops Orchestra and has premiered his own original concert works with various ensembles, including the Lake Avenue Chamber Orchestra, the Sonus Quartet, and the APU Symphony Orchestra.
As a violinist, Jason has performed with numerous regional orchestras, including the Lake Avenue Chamber Orchestra, the Redlands Symphony, the San Bernardino Symphony, the Torrance Symphony, and the YMF Debut Orchestra. He has also worked as a freelance violinist for albums and movie scores. Jason has had the privilege of performing at esteemed venues such as Walt Disney Concert Hall, Segerstrom Concert Hall, and Perth Concert Hall in Scotland, under the direction of renowned conductors like John Williams and Michael Tilson Thomas. He has also shared the stage with notable artists, including Josh Groban, Peter Cetera, Bela Fleck, Linda Eder, and Chris Botti.
In addition to his solo work, Jason and his brother Nolan have formed an electric violin duo, performing their unique blend of original and popular music worldwide. They have opened for artists like Sheryl Crow, Smash Mouth, Huey Lewis, Ace Young, and Starship, and have appeared as headliners on luxury cruise lines and in Las Vegas.
