Biography

Javier Aguirresarobe, a renowned cinematographer from Guipuzcoa, boasts an impressive portfolio of over 50 feature films, having collaborated with some of the most acclaimed film directors in Spain and internationally. His extensive list of notable collaborations includes working with esteemed directors such as Fernando Trueba, Carlos Saura, Pedro Almodóvar, Alejandro Amenábar, Pilar Miró, Montxo Armendáriz, Julio Medem, Woody Allen, and Milos Forman, among many others.

Throughout his illustrious career, Aguirresarobe has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious National Cinematography Award in 2004 and six Goya Awards, out of a total of 11 nominations. His exceptional work has also been recognized with the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival for his work on the film "Beltenebros".

A member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood, Aguirresarobe's recent projects include the photography for the Twilight saga and the remake of the horror classic "Poltergeist".
