Jean-Jacques Servan-Schreiber, a French journalist and politician, was born on February 13, 1924, and passed away on November 7, 2006. He was a co-founder of L'Express, a prominent French news magazine, in 1953, alongside Françoise Giroud.

Following his successful entrepreneurial venture, Servan-Schreiber went on to become the president of the Radical Party in 1971. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in transforming the party's ideology from left-leaning to center-right, ultimately renaming it Parti radical valoisien.
