Biography

Jean-Louis Aubert, a renowned French singer-songwriter, guitarist, composer, and producer, embarked on a solo career following the disbandment of the influential rock group Téléphone, which he co-founded.

Born on April 12, 1955, in Nantua, Ain, France, Aubert was part of a family that relocated to Senlis, Oise, when his father took up a position as a sub-prefect. He was raised by a team of service personnel, and in 1965, his family moved to the city of Paris.

Despite being a member of the scouts and the choir, Aubert's childhood was marked by difficulties. He attended Lycée Pasteur in Neuilly-sur-Seine alongside his friends Louis Bertignac and Olivier Caudron, and at the age of 15, they formed their first band, Masturbation.

After obtaining his high school diploma in 1973, Aubert devoted most of his time to music, neglecting his studies to a great extent.
