Jean-Pierre Yerma, also known as JP, was born in the southern region of France and relocated to Australia with his family in 1971. His father, Claude, a professional violinist, instilled in JP a love for music and the arts from a very young age.
JP's passion for acting led him to pursue formal training at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts, where he studied screen acting, and at the Actors Pulse, where he honed his skills in the Meisner Technique.
As an actor, JP is dedicated to delivering truthful performances that are emotionally prepared and realistic, with a deep emotional connection to his characters. His outgoing personality and strong desire for excellence have allowed him to bring a unique splash of color and pizzazz to every role he takes on.
JP is fluent in both French and English, which has enabled him to take on a wide range of roles in feature films, working alongside renowned directors such as George Miller and Colin Budds. His professionalism has earned him the prestigious selection to perform in Australia's first Diversity Showcase.
JP's recent role as "Franco Balzerini" in the film "Romance in the Vineyard," opposite Susie Abromeit, Tim Ross, and Cameron Robbie, has garnered him critical acclaim.
