Jeffrey Neale Jackson, born September 12, 1982, is a multifaceted individual who has made a significant impact in various realms. As the 52nd attorney general of North Carolina since 2025, he has been a prominent figure in the state's legal system.

Prior to his current position, Jackson served as the U.S. representative for North Carolina's 14th congressional district from 2023 to 2024, and as a member of the North Carolina Senate, representing the 37th district from 2014 to 2022.

Jackson's professional journey began with a stint as an assistant district attorney in Gaston County, followed by a role as counsel at Womble Bond Dickinson.

In 2002, he took a bold step by commissioning in the United States Army Reserve, where he served in the Kandahar Province during the War in Afghanistan. Today, he continues to serve in the Judge Advocate General's Corps with the Army National Guard.

Jackson's decision to run for North Carolina attorney general in October 2023 was fueled by the redrawing of the state's congressional districts. His efforts paid off, as he was elected to the position in November 2024.
