Jeff Rector is an accomplished individual with a wide range of talents and achievements. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he spent most of his childhood in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan before relocating to Tarzana, California. Rector attended Taft High School in the San Fernando Valley, where he developed a passion for the arts and began exploring his creative potential.
After graduating from high school, Rector went on to attend Valley College and later transferred to Moorpark College, where he earned an Associate of Arts degree. During his time at Moorpark, he honed his skills in writing, directing, producing, and editing as a telecommunications major. He also had the opportunity to star in several theatrical productions, which further fueled his love for the performing arts.
Rector's impressive background in the arts led him to be recruited by the school's Speech Team, where he became a State and National Speech Champion. This experience not only helped him develop his public speaking skills but also instilled in him a sense of confidence and self-assurance.
In addition to his impressive credentials, Rector is also an award-winning writer, director, producer, and actor. He has over 150 Television & Film credits to date and has worked on a wide range of projects in the entertainment industry. Rector is also the Festival Director for the Tarzana International Film Festival, which showcases the work of talented filmmakers from around the world.
As a way to give back to his community, Rector has been involved in various charitable organizations, including the American Heart Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the Burbank Police Officers Organization, among others. He has also served on the Burbank Cultural Arts Commission and the Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council.
When he's not working on his latest project or volunteering his time to help others, Rector enjoys playing guitar and singing karaoke. He has performed at various venues across the country, including The Comedy Store, The Improv, and The Laugh Factory.
Rector's impressive list of accomplishments is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and passion for the arts. He is grateful to his loving parents, Joan and Harlan, who have always supported him in his goals and dreams.
