Jen Kuo Sung, a Taiwanese-American actor, was born and raised in Taiwan until his teenage years, when he moved to Florida with his mother. His father is from Shanghai, China, and his mother is one-quarter Aboriginal Taiwanese. Growing up, Jen was deeply influenced by Bruce Lee, whom he admired after sneaking into a cinema to watch The Big Boss. This early fascination with kung fu led him to become a dedicated student of the martial art.
As a teenager, Jen attended a predominantly black high school in Florida, where he excelled in all sports and developed a passion for sharing his love of Bruce Lee and kung fu with his peers. His physical abilities and martial arts skills eventually earned him a college football scholarship.
Jen's early acting career in Florida caught the attention of producer Ng See Yuen, who discovered Jackie Chan. Ng advised Jen to move to Los Angeles, where he has since established himself as a character actor and action director, working steadily in the industry.
Jen is married to actress and writer Lydia Look, with whom he frequently collaborates on camera and in voiceover. The couple speaks seven languages between them, making them a highly sought-after team.
