Born and raised in North Carolina, Jenn Lyon is a highly acclaimed stage actress who has recently expanded her repertoire to include film and television work. Following her graduation from the esteemed North Carolina School of the Arts, Lyon relocated to New York City, where she has since worked extensively in the theatre industry.
Her impressive theatre credits include a Broadway appearance in the American premiere of Tom Stoppard's trilogy, "The Coast of Utopia," which garnered a total of 11 Tony Award nominations. Lyon has also had the privilege of appearing in Larry David's hit comedy, "Fish in the Dark," on Broadway.
In addition to her Broadway credits, Lyon has enjoyed a successful Off-Broadway career, earning a Drama Desk Ensemble Award for her work in A.R. Gurney's "The Wayside Motor Inn." She has also been a part of the premiere of Kenneth Lonergan's "Hold on to Me Darling" at the Atlantic Theatre, which was recognized as one of the New York Times' Best Plays of 2016.
Furthermore, Lyon has originated roles in world premiere works, including John Guare's "Are You There MacPhee?"
In addition to her stage work, Lyon has shared screen time with notable actors such as Tim Olyphant in both "Hold On To Me Darling" and FX's "Justified" Seasons 3 and 4. She has also starred opposite George Lopez and Danny Trejo in the sitcom "Saint George." Lyon's television appearances include "Army Wives," "Louie," and "Crashing," which is set to air on HBO.
Lyon's film credits include "Phil Spector" alongside Al Pacino and Helen Mirren, as well as the indie films "Flower Shop" and "Lemon." She recently completed production on the film "Blaze," directed by Ethan Hawke.
