Jennifer Eve Garth was born on April 3rd, 1972, in Urbana, Illinois, USA, to John and Carolyn Garth, who had each been married three times previously, resulting in six older siblings for Jennie. Growing up on a 25-acre horse ranch outside of Urbana, Illinois, with her six older siblings, Johnny, Chuck, Lisa, Cammie, Wendy, and Lynn, provided Jennie with a unique and memorable childhood experience.
At the age of 13, Jennie and her family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where she began taking dancing lessons and pursued modeling, while also dreaming of attending college and eventually opening her own dance studio. However, her life took a dramatic turn when she was discovered by a talent scout at the age of 15, who encouraged her to pursue an acting career after witnessing her win a talent competition.
Consequently, Jennie dropped out of high school during her junior year and relocated to Los Angeles, California, with her mother, in order to pursue her acting dreams. She later obtained her diploma in California and began taking acting classes and attending auditions almost daily.
After living in LA for approximately four months, Jennie landed the role of 'Ericka McCray' on the NBC series A Brand New Life in 1989. Within a year, she was cast as 'Kelly Taylor' on the long-running hit teen drama series Beverly Hills, 90210 on FOX television in 1990. Since then, she has starred in numerous movies and TV shows, many of which she has also produced and directed herself.
On January 20th, 2001, Jennie married actor Peter Facinelli, with whom she has three daughters: Luca Bella, born on June 29th, 1997, Lola Ray, born on December 6th, 2002, and Fiona Facinelli, born on September 30th, 2006. Jennie most recently starred in the WB network sitcom What I Like About You as 'Valerie Tyler' until its cancellation in 2006.
