Jenna Barlow Grodsky, also known as Jennifer Barlow, is a multifaceted creative force, best known as the owner of New Sky Park Entertainment, Rebel Girl Films, and Night Sun Post. This award-winning writer, director, and television show creator has made a name for herself by producing, developing, and editing content for various networks, including CBS, NBC Sports, A&E, Nat Geo Wild, Tru TV, VH-1, MTV, and Fox Reality.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Grodsky's roots are deeply rooted in the world of dance and theater. By the age of eleven, she had already gained international recognition as a touring member of the San Francisco Ballet Celeste, guest-starred with the Bolshoi Ballet, and landed her first professional play, "Carousel," at the Hyatt Theater in Oakland, California.
As she transitioned to Hollywood, Grodsky's acting career flourished, primarily rooted in sitcoms and comedy. However, she also earned critical acclaim for her dramatic portrayal of "the other woman" in Garth Brooks' award-winning music video, "The Thunder Rolls." Her debut as a writer came with "My Father's Vodka," an interactive multimedia comedy loosely based on her own experiences as a bar dancer. The project was presented at the world-famous Roxy Theater on Sunset Boulevard by the renowned movie and music mogul, Lou Adler, known for his work on "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."
Grodsky's creative endeavors continued to evolve, as she wrote and performed sketch comedy with The Third Floor, Los Angeles, and created Phat Chix, an all-girl sketch comedy show backed by Ed Weinberger, creator of the hit TV show "Taxi." The show premiered at the HBO Showcase Theater.
In addition to her work behind the camera, Grodsky has also made a name for herself in front of the camera, with thousands of hours of editing experience under her belt. Her latest film, "Empire Queen," was recently released on Amazon Prime, and she both edited and produced this humorous fantasy adventure.
As a testament to her dedication and perseverance, Grodsky has achieved several notable milestones. She is the first female to pilot the enterprise on a Star Trek television series, and she has survived the loss of her late husband, Lee Grodsky.
