Jennifer MacDonald was born and raised in various parts of the United States and Canada, and has had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the world. At the age of sixteen, she made the bold decision to enlist in the US Army, where she underwent rigorous training as an Arabic Linguist. She also attended survival and jump schools, and was subsequently deployed to work in various locations across the Middle East as a cryptologic "voice interceptor". Throughout her military career, MacDonald honed her skills as a translator, mastering multiple languages including standard Arabic, Egyptian, Spanish, and French.
After leaving the Army, MacDonald's passion for documentary filmmaking led her to pursue a career in the film industry. She worked in film production in San Francisco, where she discovered her aptitude for acting. This newfound talent led her to join a diverse theater ensemble called "Lightfoot", a group of actors dedicated to performing innovative and thought-provoking material.
Since relocating to Los Angeles three years ago, MacDonald has made a name for herself as a versatile and talented actress, appearing as a guest star on several TV shows, including "The Adventures of Brisco County Junior", "Dream On", "Red Shoe Diaries", and "Land's End" with Fred Dryer. She has also landed roles in a number of film projects, including the Showtime original movie "Dead Weekend", where she starred opposite Steven Baldwin as a multilingual alien from the planet Claire. In the psychological thriller "Shades of Black", MacDonald played a naive young pro-bike racer stalked by a schizophrenic performance artist.
In addition to her work in television and film, MacDonald has also had the opportunity to work theatrically in San Francisco, where she has performed in a series of original one-act plays about the Middle East. She is also an accomplished martial artist and trap and skeet shooter, having honed her skills in these areas throughout her life.
