Jennifer Lauren Seward was born in Independence, Missouri, and her journey in the world of theater began in seventh grade, when she made her debut in a production that would spark a lifelong passion for the stage. Throughout high school, she continued to hone her craft, eventually culminating in a remarkable senior year that saw her win a Cappie Award for Best Ensemble in a Play.
As she transitioned to college, Jennifer's focus shifted to acting for the camera and filmmaking, a pursuit she has dedicated herself to professionally. Her academic endeavors were marked by academic excellence, as she graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a bachelor's degree in communication studies, a minor in theater, and a minor in sociology.
Jennifer has established herself as a fixture in the Kansas City market, with a wealth of experience in both acting and behind-the-scenes roles on numerous projects. Her commitment to the local entertainment industry has also been demonstrated through her involvement in various organizations, including the Film Commission of Greater Kansas City, CinemaKC, and the Independent Filmmakers Coalition of Kansas City.
Jennifer takes great pride in her body of work, which includes standout roles in Found Wandering Lost (2022),the pioneering NFT film Lotawana (2022),and the forthcoming series Black Zone (2025),in which she will appear as a series regular/lead. Her impressive filmography also boasts significant supporting roles in critically acclaimed indie hits I Am Lisa (2020) and The Stylist (2020).
