Jenny Boyd, an English author, clinical consultant, and former model, was born Helen Mary Boyd on November 8, 1947. She is the younger sister of Pattie Boyd, a renowned 1960s model and rock muse, and Colin Boyd, as well as having a younger sister, Paula Boyd. The origin of Jenny's nickname lies in Pattie's fondness for a childhood doll named Jenny.
As a free-lance model in the 1960s, Jenny often accompanied her sister Pattie to modeling jobs, establishing a close bond between the two sisters. When Jenny was just 15 years old, she met drummer Mick Fleetwood, who was then part of the band The Bo Street Runners. This marked the beginning of a 15-year on-and-off relationship between the two, which eventually culminated in their marriage in June 1970. The couple had two daughters, Lucy and Amy, who brought immense joy to their lives.
Jenny's influence can be seen in the song "Jennifer Juniper," released by British folk musician Donovan as a single in March 1968. The same year, she traveled to Rishikesh, India, along with her sister Pattie, The Beatles, sisters Mia Farrow and Prudence Farrow, Mike Love, and other friends, to attend a training session in Transcendental Meditation led by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Additionally, Jenny worked at the Apple Boutique in London during this period.
In the late 1980s, Jenny pursued higher education at UCLA, earning a PhD in psychology. She went on to become a clinical consultant and author, co-authoring a book titled Musicians in Tune, which delves into the intersection of music and psychology.
