Jerrika Delayne Hinton is an accomplished American actress, widely recognized for her captivating portrayal of Stephanie Edwards in the esteemed ABC medical drama series Grey's Anatomy.
Upon graduating with honors in the spring of 2003 from Southern Methodist University's prestigious Meadows School of the Arts, Hinton earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in liberal arts, with a focus on theatre, directing, and play-writing. Her academic achievements were further distinguished by the Rosenfield Award for Playwriting.
Hinton's professional career began with stage productions, before making her film debut in the 2006 independent drama Rain, where she played the role of Khandi Alexander's character's daughter. Subsequently, she guest-starred in various television series, including Gilmore Girls, Everybody Hates Chris, Zoey 101, Ghost Whisperer, Gossip Girl, Lie to Me, Bones, and Scandal.
