Jerry Della Salla is a decorated Army Combat veteran, having served a 12-month tour of duty with the 18th MP Battalion and 306th MP Unit during Operation Iraqi Freedom 3. Following his military service, he pursued a career in the performing arts, studying under the renowned Stella Adler and graduating from the prestigious NYU Tisch Drama Program.
Della Salla has had the privilege of sharing the screen with several notable actors, including the late Victor Argo in the film "Personal Sergeant" (2004) and Matt Damon in the critically acclaimed "Green Zone" (2010),directed by Paul Greengrass.
In addition to his film work, Della Salla has also had a successful stage career, performing Off-Broadway in "Waiting For Lefty" alongside Edward Norton at the Kampo Cultural Center in New York City in 1992. He has also appeared in productions of "Taming of the Shrew" with Peter Dinklage at the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival in 1993.
Outside of the entertainment industry, Della Salla has also explored his competitive side, boxing as an amateur under the guidance of Hall of Fame coach Tex Gonzalez in the New Jersey Diamond Gloves. He has been a company member of the Pacific Resident Theater in Venice, California since 2013, following a recommendation from his friend and fellow actor, the late Orson Bean.
