Jerrold Lewis Nadler, an American lawyer and politician, has been a prominent figure in the United States political landscape since his birth on June 13, 1947. As of 2023, he has been serving as the U.S. representative for New York's 12th congressional district, which encompasses central Manhattan, a vital area in the heart of the city.

A stalwart member of the Democratic Party, Nadler was first elected to represent New York's 17th congressional district in 1992. Over the years, the district underwent renumbering, and Nadler went on to represent the 8th district from 1993 to 2013 and the 10th district from 2013 to 2023.
