Jess Brown, a talented actor born in Victoria, British Columbia, embarked on a lifelong journey in the arts from a remarkably early age. Her passion for Musical Theatre on Broadway drove her to pursue her dreams with unwavering dedication.
During her teenage and young adult years, Jess found solace in the rehearsal room, performing in an impressive three to five musical theatre shows annually with various companies. Concurrently, she danced full-time with a competitive dance company, honing her craft and perfecting her art.
As a young adult, Jess took on a nation-wide magic tour, utilizing her skills in illusions and dance entertainment to captivate audiences. However, an injury ultimately forced her to reevaluate her career trajectory, shifting her focus towards acting.
Jess's perseverance and determination led her to enroll in weekly acting classes for film and television, marking the beginning of her transition to the screen. Her exceptional talent and dedication soon earned her a scholarship to study at the prestigious Victoria Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she completed the full-time film acting program.
Following her graduation, Jess relocated to Vancouver, where she threw herself into the competitive film and television industry. With a few exceptions, her career has since continued to rise steadily, with Jess working on numerous projects, auditioning, and constantly refining her craft through ongoing studies.
In addition to her acting pursuits, Jess also dedicates time to private coaching for fellow actors, allowing her to share her expertise and support her peers. When not working or studying, Jess can often be found spending quality time with her beloved dog, indulging in her love of guitar, horseback riding, learning combat techniques for film, and even writing her own screenplay.
