Here is Jim Lee's biography:
Jim Lee is a Korean-American comic book writer and artist. Born in Seoul, South Korea in 1964, Lee moved to the United States with his family at a young age. He was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and became a naturalized citizen of the United States at the age of 12.
Lee's interest in comic books began in his childhood, and he started drawing posters for school plays. He attended River Bend Elementary School and later Saint Louis Country Day School, where he developed his artistic skills. Lee's feelings of being an outsider in his upper-class school influenced his reading habits, and he became interested in comic books about outcast characters, such as the X-Men.
After high school, Lee enrolled at Princeton University to study psychology, but he eventually decided to pursue a career in comic book art. He submitted his work to various publishers, but was initially rejected. Lee's big break came when he was introduced to Archie Goodwin, a veteran comic book editor at Marvel Comics, who helped him get hired as a professional artist.
Lee's early work at Marvel included stints on the titles "Alpha Flight" and "Punisher: War Journal". He later became the main artist on "Uncanny X-Men", where he co-created the character Gambit and designed new costumes for the X-Men team.
In the early 1990s, Lee was one of the key figures in the Marvel Comics' "Heroes Reborn" project, which relaunched several classic Marvel titles. He also worked on "WildC.A.T.s", a series he co-created with Brandon Choi, which became a huge success and led to the creation of the WildStorm imprint.
In 1998, Lee sold WildStorm to DC Comics, where he continued to work as an artist and publisher. He became a co-publisher of DC Comics in 2010, and later became the sole publisher in 2020.
Throughout his career, Lee has been known for his detailed and dynamic artwork, as well as his ability to create complex and engaging storylines. He has worked on numerous high-profile titles, including "Batman", "Superman", and "The New 52", and has won numerous awards for his work.
