William James Myers, better known by his professional wrestling moniker George "The Animal" Steele, was born in the vibrant city of Detroit, Michigan, USA, and would go on to become a wrestling sensation in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
He crafted a public image that was reminiscent of a wild creature, characterized by his penchant for chewing on turnbuckles and sporting a striking green tongue.
As the 1990s approached, Steele transitioned into the world of acting, earning recognition for his roles in films such as Blowfish (1997) and Used Cars (1997).
However, it was perhaps his portrayal of the monstrous Tor Johnson in Tim Burton's Ed Wood (1994) that cemented his status as a beloved character actor.
In his personal life, George was married to the lovely Patricia Randolph.
Sadly, George "The Animal" Steele passed away on February 16, 2017, in the state of Florida.
