Joa's fascination with performance commenced at a remarkably young age, as she embarked on a journey in Theater. Following her high school graduation, she relocated to New York City, where she delved into the world of Performing Arts at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, housed within the esteemed Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
Her thirst for knowledge and artistic growth soon led her to Puerto Rico, where she completed a Bachelor's Degree in Theater and a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from the University of the Sacred Heart. Over the course of the past decade, Joa has been actively involved in the Theater, Film, and Radio industries in Puerto Rico, solidifying her reputation as a talented and versatile performer.
Her impressive body of work includes standout roles in the short film 'Jessika' and the feature film 'I am a Director', which garnered her two prestigious Best Actress Awards at the esteemed Rincon International Film Festival in Puerto Rico. Her television credits include appearances on USA Networks' 'Royal Pains' and Lifetime Television's 'Stranded'.
In a recent highlight of her illustrious career, Joa had the unique opportunity to participate in a Master Class led by Academy Award-winning actor-director Tim Robbins at the XII Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogota, in Colombia.
