Joachim "Jockl" Bauer, the youngest of four children, was born on a summer's day in 1956, in Miesbach, Bavaria. His childhood was marked by a series of unfortunate events involving beloved bunnies, who repeatedly broke free from his life and ultimately met their demise as a holiday roast.
At the age of six, Jockl's family relocated to Bad Aibling, forcing him to part ways with his friend of the same age and another bunny. However, this separation did not deter Jockl from embracing life's joys. Instead, he discovered new opportunities in his new city, becoming a ministrant and the youngest church choir member of all time, despite being unable to read a single note. This remarkable feat earned him immense respect.
After completing his education at the Finsterwalder Gymnasium in Rosenheim and obtaining a Fachabitur in social work, Jockl embarked on a series of "dream jobs," including tennis teaching, assistant cooking, bartending, and tutoring.
Despite his success, Jockl harbored a deep-seated desire to become an actor in Munich and beyond. After many jobs and detours, he finally found the courage to approach Ms. Zinner, the headmistress of a drama school in Munich, and auditioned for a role. His talent was undeniable, and he was accepted into the school.
In his first semester, Jockl auditioned for the role of "Sosias" and impressed the graduating class with his performance. His big break came when he traveled to the Landestheater Schwaben in Memmingen as a cue giver for a colleague and was immediately hired on the spot. The colleague, unfortunately, was not so fortunate, leaving Jockl with a hint of remorse.
Jockl spent three wonderful years in Memmingen, playing numerous great roles and making the most of his time in Swabia. Eventually, he returned to Munich and has since lived, suffered, laughed, danced, and played as a freelance actor, fulfilling his dream and earning the pride of his beloved bunnies.
