Filipa REIS, a talented filmmaker, entered the world in 1977, while her creative partner, João MILLER GUERRA, was born in 1974. This dynamic duo shares a studio and a passion for documentary filmmaking in the vibrant city of Lisbon, Portugal. Throughout their collaborative journey, they have crafted numerous documentary projects that have garnered significant recognition within the industry. One such project, "Fora da Vida", earned the prestigious Best Portuguese Short Film award at IndieLisboa'15, a testament to their exceptional storytelling abilities. Another notable achievement is their work on "Bela Vista", which won the Best International Short Film award at FIDOC'13 and received an Honorable Mention at MiradasDoc'13, further solidifying their reputation as a formidable filmmaking duo.
Noted filmmaker's documentary "Cama de Gato" made a significant impact, garnering the prestigious Best Portuguese Short Film award at the esteemed IndieLisboa'12 festival.
Furthermore, their notable film projects, including "Generation Orchestra" and "Nada Fazi", received recognition at various prominent film festivals, such as the renowned Fantasporto'12 and the innovative Festival Cortex'12.
Their achievements in the film industry were further solidified when they received the Revelation Prize at the Festival Luso-Brazilian Santa Maria film'12, a testament to their talent and dedication to their craft.
Their feature-length documentary, "Li Ké Terra", made its world premiere at the prestigious DocLisboa'10 film festival, where it garnered a Special Jury Mention at the esteemed MiradasDoc'11 festival.
The cinematic partnership's inaugural feature-length fiction film is presently undergoing post-production processes. In addition, they operate a film production company known as Uma Pedra no Sapato, which has been responsible for bringing various projects to life, including the critically acclaimed "Balada de um Batráquio" directed by Leonor Teles, a short film that garnered the prestigious Golden Bear award for Best Short Film at the esteemed Berlin Film Festival in 2016.
