Joe Farina was born and raised in the vibrant city of Chicago, the youngest son of Dennis and Patricia Farina. His father, the renowned actor Dennis Farina, had a remarkable career as a Chicago Police detective, while his mother, Patricia, devoted herself to raising their three sons.
From a young age, Joe was exposed to the world of acting and entertainment, shadowing and learning from his father on various projects. As he grew up, Joe was born in Chicago and spent his childhood in the Jefferson Park neighborhood on the northwest side, surrounded by the city's rich cultural heritage. He has two older brothers, Dennis Jr and Michael.
Joe's academic background includes graduating from Gordon Tech High School and DePaul University. He has since become a talented actor, starring in numerous TV and film projects, including the award-winning short films Debt of the Heart and Strapped. He co-starred in the films Chasing Robert and RiffRaff, and played Kevin the Pepsi Rep in the feature film The Promotion, sharing scenes with the acclaimed actor John C. Reilly. His other credits include the films Devil's Dominoes, Paranormal Island, and The Swing.
Joe has also made appearances on the NBC show Chicago Fire, playing the role of Fireman Bower in two episodes, most recently.
In his free time, Joe enjoys spending quality time with his loving wife, Heather, and their two children, Olivia and Wyatt. He is a passionate enthusiast of 1960's and 1970's film, music, pop-culture, and TV, and is a skilled acoustic guitarist. Moreover, Joe is a die-hard fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs.
