With a career spanning from the Ohio Valley to Southern California, Palm Springs, Chicago, and Atlanta, he has had the opportunity to play a wide variety of characters, including leads, featured roles, and background actors.
Throughout his career, Joel has been involved in various business interests, but he is now semi-retired and living in the Atlanta area suburbs. He is available for full-time or part-time acting roles, commercials, spokesmodeling, and print modeling, and is willing to travel to Chicago, L.A., Atlanta, or any other location.

Some of his inspirations include Jon Voight, Kiefer Sutherland, Martin Sheen, Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford, Christopher Walken, David Caruso, Alec Baldwin, Andy Griffith, Jerry Stiller, Carroll O'Connor, Fred Willard, and Will Ferrell. He has also been influenced by Second City, Saturday Night Live, Steppenwolf, and other ensembles.
Joel has had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including dramas, mainstream films, and comedies. Some of his recent awards include the Hugo Television Award, Gold Plaque for the Best Situation Comedy, New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards, First Place for the Best On-Campus TV Station category, and the Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards, Best Student Production Nomination from the Television Academy.
These awards were for his work on the 2010 Frequency TV series "Debbie's Got Class" at Chicago's Columbia College, in which he played the lead role of Principal Pinman.
