Johannes Lassen, a talented individual, graduated from The Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Odense, Denmark in 2007. Following his graduation, he quickly secured prominent roles on various theatre stages throughout Denmark.
One of his notable performances was as Wilhelm Dinesen in the highly anticipated drama-series "1864" on DR1 in autumn 2014. A film version of the series was released in Danish cinemas early in 2015. Additionally, he appeared in Nicolo Donato's critically acclaimed film "Brotherhood" in 2010 and the award-winning youth drama "Rebounce" by Heidi Maria Faist in 2011.
In the television realm, Johannes portrayed the lead in the Danish TV-drama "Below the Surface", which was broadcast globally and earned him The Golden Nymph Award 2018 for Best Male Lead in a TV-series. He was also nominated for his role in the 2nd season for the C21 International Performance Award.
Johannes collaborated with his friend Pilou Asbæk and Josh Lucas in the feature film "The Guardian Angel" (2018) directed by the award-winning Finnish Director Arto Halonen. In 2017, he landed a significant role in the Swedish Viaplay TV-drama "The Lawyer", a role he reprised in the second season of the show, which premiered in early 2020. Johannes can also be seen in the Danish TV show "ALFA", which aired mid-2020 on TV2.
On stage, Johannes has appeared in both classical and contemporary plays, including "Jesus & Josefine" (2007) and "Treasure Island" (2008) at Odense Theatre, "Kærlighed og menneskerester" at Theatre Momentum (2007),"Otto er et Næsehorn" (2008),"Odysseus" (2009) at Folketeatret in Copenhagen, and "BCNU" (Be seeing You) at Theatre Grob (2011).
In 2020, Johannes will take on the role of Frank Farmer in the internationally acclaimed musical "The Bodyguard".
