John Gawlik is a celebrated actor and director who has had the privilege of interpreting characters and narratives across various mediums, including stage, film, and television. As a valued member of The Gift Theatre, a highly esteemed Chicago-based theatre company, John has been involved in numerous productions, showcasing his versatility as a director with notable works such as The Pavilion, The Good Thief, Blithe Spirit, Wit, The Ruby Sunrise, Thinner Than Water, The Royal Society of Antarctica, A Life Extra Ordinary, and Doubt: A Parable.
As an actor, John has made notable appearances in a range of productions, including Language of Angels, The Beauty Queen of Lennane, Streamers, Lonesome West, Oh The Humanity, Broadsword, Good For Otto, and TEN.
Born in Texas, John was raised in the western suburbs of Chicago and graduated from St. Ignatius High School and Marquette University. He is a devoted family man, living with his wife and son. In his free time, John is an avid member of the Swedish Fish Masters Swim Team.
